The Terraillon TFA-10 body fat analyzer scale uses the medically proven Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) method, to measure the volume of water carried in body fat.

To measure your body fat, a harmless amount of electricity is sent through your body. BIA measures the impedance or resistance to the signal as it travels through the water that is found in muscle. The more muscle or lean tissue (muscles consists mostly of water) a person has, the more water their body contains. The greater the amount of water in a person's body, the easier it is for the current to pass through it.

Using the TFA-10 couldn't be easier. Using the 3 buttons below the display you configuration the TFA-10 entering your Height (3' 3.4" to 6' 6.7"), Age (10 to 80 years old) and Gender (Male or Female). Then, simply step on the scale and it determines your weight and then computes your percentage bodyfat. The display will toggle the weight reading and then display percentage bodyfat several times and then the scale automatically shuts off.

The TFA-10 features a Fast Recall mode that lets you recall the stored memory perimeters (height, age, sex- M/F) by pressing one of the soft tactile buttons located just below the display. The fast recall mode works only when the scale is shut off. You press either the down or up arrow key located below the display, recall the correct memory location, and then press the mode key to confirm the desired selection. By pressing the up arrow key with your toe once recalls the 1st memory settings or pressing the up arrow twice recalls the settings for memory 3. Similarly pressing the down arrow key once while the scale is shut off will recall memory 2 and memory 4 is recalled by pressing the down arrow key twice. Terraillon TFA-10 side view
